Carol Slater has given many recitals in the UK, notably in the Wigmore Hall, St John's Smith Square and on the South Bank. She has recorded ten sonatas, and several encore pieces for the BBC with the pianists Susan McGaw and Clifford Benson.
Her performances abroad have taken her to Australia where she gave a recital tour, recording for the ABC in Sydney. She has also given recitals in America, Switzerland, and Spain.
Carol has given many concerto performances with orchestra, which include the concerto's of Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Dvorak, Lalo, Katchaturian, and Bartok.
With her husband Ian Jewel, she regularly gives duo recitals of music covering a wide range of styles, both in the UK and abroad and they have performed the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante with orchestra many times.
Carol has always been involved with chamber music groups. Her horn trio, 'The Festival Trio, gave performances at the British Horn Festival, and The Wigmore Hall. They commissioned Robert Simpson to write a new work for them which was financed by the Arts Council.
