Carol Slater studied at the Guildhall School of Music with Joan Spencer, where she won the school violin prize, the chamber music prize, the orchestral prize and a British Council scholarship, performing the Dvorak concerto in her final year.
A scholarship from the University of Bern enabled her to continue her studies in the masterclass of Max Rostal for three years. Whilst in Switzerland she gave many concerts and recorded for Radio Beromunster with transmissions also across Germany. On completing her studies, she was awarded The Soloisten Diploma.
Carol has also worked with Tibor Varga, Franco Gulli and Orrea Pernel.
